Support
Guided Portal help.
The site assistant is preset-guided so users can answer common setup, billing, desktop, and security questions without a full support system.
Setup
How do I start?
Create an account, choose a plan, download the Windows app, then create your local workspace inside the desktop app.
Do clients need accounts?
No. External clients and signers stay separate from internal team users. Portal can support guest access for documents without giving business access.
Can I split drives?
Yes. Portal supports separate records, design/working, deliverable, archive, and cloud mirror routes.
Billing
Is there a trial?
Studio includes a standard 14-day free trial when trial grants are enabled.
What happens when I downgrade?
Portal keeps your data but locks access above your new plan limits until you archive, export, or upgrade.
What limits clients?
Internal users drive plan limits. External clients and contacts are not the main billing gate.
Desktop app
Does the app work offline?
After sign-in and subscription verification, the desktop app can work offline during the verified subscription/grace window. It reconnects to refresh access.
Where is the installer?
The site links to the Portal API release endpoint. The EXE itself is not hosted on Vercel.
Will updates stack up?
Portal releases should replace prior app files instead of stacking duplicate installs. Business data is kept separately from application files.
Security
Does Portal store my files on your server?
Portal is local-first. The API handles accounts, subscription checks, release access, and cloud connection coordination.
Are cloud tokens stored safely?
Cloud OAuth tokens should be encrypted by the API before storage.
Can fake copies access accounts?
The desktop app should verify accounts, release access, and subscription status against the Portal API.
